More than ever, the role that families play in ensuring the necessary balance between safety and sustainability is unquestionable. The selection and conscious, responsible use of products are essential. It is therefore crucial that families are provided with information that enables them to make a meaningful contribution. With this in mind, Safer Consumer Mornings, was designed for:
- Technicians from: consumer associations, local consumer information centres, alternative consumer dispute resolution bodies, consumer watchdog bodies
- Professionals from organizations and entities involved in consumer protection, particularly within public administration
- Teachers, trainers and other professionals involved in consumer education
- Technicians from associations and entities working in the field of sustainable consumption and environmental education
- University students with an interest in consumer protection and consumer law
Safer Consumer Mornings is a series of three free training sessions* on the topic of ‘Product safety and sustainability in the new European legal framework’.
These sessions will take place on
- 25th February, at 10:30 a.m. (online) in Portugal and 11:30 a.m. in Spain
- 4th March, at 9:30 a.m. (in-person – Directorate-General for Consumers, in Lisbon)
- 12th March, at 10:30 a.m. (online) in Portugal and 11:30 a.m. in Spain
The Safer Consumer Mornings sessions, supported by the Directorate-General for Consumers in Portugal, are part of the ECP 8 80 project. This project aims to empower consumer protection professionals in the field of product safety and sustainability within the new EU legal framework. It is implemented by the Provincial Federation of Consumers and Users of Alicante – Lucentum, the AIJU Technological Institute and APSI – Portuguese Association for Child Safety Promotion. The first cycle of these sessions took place in Spain in October last year.
